Mountain Tourist Destination – the Quality of Groundwater Sources

The aim of the article is to investigate the water quality in the Prut River, which tends to tourist destinations, and to establish the interdependence of the water pollution index with the number of tourists visited in the Yaremche Tourist Cluster. The article scientifically proves the indirect influence of tourist flow on water quality in the Prut River. Water samples from the Prut River were taken, such as pH, temperature, nitrates and nitrites, phosphates, ammonium and mineralization were analyzed. Using membrane tests Sensafe in water samples, we determined the content of the following metals: Ni, Co, Zn, Cd, Hg, Fe. Based on the results, we calculated the water pollution index, which is 0.52. It is established that the water is clean. IZV is determined at each point of water withdrawal in the dynamics during 2016-2020, the interdependence of water quality of the Prut River with the number of visitors to the tourist destination. The forecast of the index of water pollution and tourist flow for 2021-2025 is carried out using the data received in the operating system Exel. It is proved that with the growth of tourists the water quality deteriorates, although it fluctuates within the norm.

Sustainable development of tourism in the mountains is justified in terms of functional properties of the recreational environment on the example of the biosphere ecological concept and ecosystem framework approach for sustainable development of tеrrіtorіal rеcreatіonal systems. According to the authors, the buffer capacity of recreation system is the dominant factor determining the prospects for the sustainable development of tеrrіtorіal rеcreatіonal systems. The combination of theoretical and methodological foundations of the doctrine of functionally integral geosystems with the concept of multi-vector nature of recreational environment formation, allowed pointing out and specifying those tеrrіtorіal rеcreatіonal systems, which operate within a certain space. Tеrrіtorіal rеcreatіonal systems, according to the authors is a dynamic set with the purpose of anthropogenic subjects and processes recreation within Geosystems whose activities continually trigger environmental changes, quantitative and qualitative Geosystem parameters, and is under the influence of man-made changes. The sustainable development of tеrrіtorіal rеcreatіonal systems provides an organization of recreational activities in which territorial Geosystem does not go beyond homeostasis and increasing of a recreational load is limited by buffer capacity of tеrrіtorіal rеcreatіonal systems. In this paper, the mathematical formalization of sustainable development of tеrrіtorіal rеcreatіonal systems is suggested. It can be used for the following definition of the subject of research: tеrrіtorіal rеcreatіonal system that operates in the environment, is the set of subjects that formed from a set of internal components interconnected with each other and with the environment by set of connections which vary in the process of sustainable development in time and space according to the set of functions.

The natural landscape of White Drin, which is also a tourist attraction visited by many tourists, is also the tourist area of the source of White Drin with its waterfall, which is protected by law for its natural values. The waterfall, which is 30m long, is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Kosovo and a unique attraction in the municipality of Peja, which is visited by local and foreign tourists throughout the year. The source of the White Drin is one of the most important sources of Kosovo and one of the sources that supplies the city of Peja with the district with drinking water and is of high quality, it also has a beautiful landscape that is visited by many local visitors and international, there is also the Sleeping Beauty cave that has a special landscape and is attracted by many visiting tourists.
