“…3,4 To overcome the solubility issue, particle size reduction (micronized and nanocrystals) and lipid dispersions have been used in the commercialised formulations containing FEN. 1 With the increased use of the amorphous state of the drug in dispersion based formulations, [5][6][7][8] it is extremely important to fully understand the stability and crystallisation behaviour of amorphous FEN. Zhou and co-workers have conducted a systematic study of a range of low-molecular weight drugs including FEN 9 probing the relationship between physical stability and a range of thermodynamic properties.…”

“…In addition to the abovementioned indices, in this study, we also found that patients with acute pancreatitis combined with pancreatic carcinoma had dilatation of the pancreatic duct, limited interruption of the MPD, and a dilated CBD. Larena and Patel et al reported that the main pancreatic duct is rarely dilated in acute pancreatitis [24,25]. Our results suggest that when the pancreatic duct and/or CBD are dilated in cases of acute pancreatitis, an associated pancreatic carcinoma could exist.…”

“…MRI has become an increasingly important imaging technique for investigating patients with hepatic and biliary disorders [23,24]. Although MRI examination is more expensive in comparison with computed tomography and ultrasound, this modality is widely used due to higher spatial resolution [25] and absence of ionizing radiation.…”

“…Despite the fact that MRI and MRS have become increasingly important imaging techniques for investigation of patients with liver and biliary disease [23,24], there are few papers describing application of in vivo MR-techniques for studying liver fluke infection [32–35] and no papers depicting the use of these methods for investigating O . felineus .…”
