Mucilaginibacter aquaedulcis sp. nov., isolated from fresh water

Abstract: An aerobic, Gram-stain-negative, rod-shaped bacterium, designated strain PGW1-R01T , was isolated from fresh water from the Yeongju in the Republic of Korea. The strain grew optimally at 30 6C and at pH 6-8 on R2A agar. The major cellular fatty acids were summed feature 3 [comprising C 16 : 1 v7c and/or C 16 : 1 v6c (50.2 %) and iso-C 15 : 0 (24.8 %)].
