Abstract:This work studies how the notion of accountability can play a key role in the design and realization of distributed systems that are open and that involve autonomous agents that should harmonize their own goals with the organizational goals. The socio-technical systems that support the work inside human companies and organizations are examples of such systems. The approach that is proposed in order to pursue this purpose is set in the context of multiagent systems organizations, and relies on an explicit specification of relationships among the involved agents for capturing who is accountable to whom and for what. Such accountability relationships are created along with the agents' operations and interactions in a shared environment. In order to guarantee accountability as a design property of the system, a specific interaction protocol is suggested. Properties of this protocol are verified, and a case study is provided consisting of an actual implementation. Finally, we discuss the impact on real-world application domains and trace possible evolutions of the proposal.

Resource sharing is very important in the world Due to limited resources. People tend to use different applications for similar purposes within the network environment making the high traffic and duplicating resource. The complexity and the dynamic behaviour of computer network do not leave a clue to predict what happen next. The multi-agent technology has proven potential results in improving efficiency and accuracy in dynamic and distributed environments. Among other features, a multi-agent technology can produce solutions that are globally accepted to the agents through communication, negotiation, and coordination among the agents. This research presents the method for reducing resource wastage and sharing resources efficiently using multi-agent technology. Network users will download the same file again and again unintentionally, bringing network performance dramatically down. With the concept of dynamic scheduling and load balancing, implement a system to share resources within a network using Multi-agent technology. The solution is developed by the MaSMT, a Java-based framework, with one manager agent and four ordinary agents, namely, file send agent, file receives agent, download agent and load balancing and dynamic scheduling agent. Using this system task has been allocated to distributed agents within a dynamic network for sharing resources. The system is successfully tested in real environments and will help to reduce the resource wastage on network environments.

We present a framework for the modelling, specification and verification of ontology-driven multi-agent rule-based systems (MASs). We assume that each agent executes in a separate process and that they communicate via message passing. The proposed approach makes use of abstract specifications to model the behaviour of some of the agents in the system, and exploits information about the reasoning strategy adopted by the agents. Abstract specifications are given as Linear Temporal Logic (LTL) formulas which describe the external behaviour of the agents, allowing their temporal behaviour to be compactly modelled. Both abstraction and strategy have been combined in an automated model checking encoding tool TOVRBA for rule-based multi-agent systems which allows the system designer to specify information about agents' interaction, behaviour, and execution strategy at different levels of abstraction. The TOVRBA tool generates an encoding of the system for the Maude LTL model checker, allowing properties of the system to be verified.
