Multi-Player Evolutionary Game of Network Attack and Defense Based on System Dynamics

Abstract: We formalize the adversarial process between defender and attackers as a game and study the non-cooperative evolutionary game mechanism under bounded rationality. We analyze the long-term dynamic process between the attacking and defending parties using the evolutionary stable strategies derived from the evolutionary game model. First, we construct a multi-player evolutionary game model consisting of a defender and multiple attackers, formally describe the strategies, and construct a three-player game payoff m… Show more

“…Deception-based defenses are potent weapons that have been proven to work in various domains. Their efficacy is based on the fact that they are programmed to exploit key biases to appear realistic but misleading substitutes to the hidden reality [ 79 , 80 , 81 , 82 , 83 , 84 , 85 , 86 , 87 , 88 , 89 , 90 , 91 , 92 , 93 , 94 , 95 , 96 , 97 , 98 , 99 , 100 , 101 , 102 , 103 , 104 , 105 , 106 , 107 , 108 ]. As a result, one will require a thorough understanding of both offensive and defensive trickery to implement a perfect Deception strategy.…”

“…Equilibrium and Stability: Systems may have equilibrium points where variables remain constant over time. Stability refers to the system's tendency to return to this equilibrium after being disturbed [59]. Feedback and Control: Feedback mechanisms within dynamic systems can influence the system's behavior.…”

“…Finding equilibriums is one of the most important problems in game theory. Because the participants are capable of learning, their strategies evolve towards higher revenues [9,10]. Updating strategies in multiple directions makes it difficult to capture the profile dynamics.…”
