Multiple Applications of a Novel Fluorescence Probe with Large Stokes Shift and Sensitivity for Rapid H2S Detection

Abstract: Herein, a novel uorescence probe Fla-DNP based on avonol has been designed and synthesized for rapid, speci c detection of H 2 S. With the addition of H 2 S, Fla-DNP triggered thiolysis and released Fla displaying the "turn-on" NIR uorescence response at 566 nm, which is consistent with the reaction site predicted by calculating Electrostatic potential and ADCH charges. As an easily available H 2 S probe, Fla-DNP has the advantages of high selectivity, anti-interference, low detection limit (0.834 µM), short r… Show more

“…Both probes were additionally used to image exogenous H 2 S in HeLa cells. A further extended flavanol-based probe was reported by Zhang in 406 (Fla-DNP), which provides a turn-on response at 566 nm with moderate selectivity over thiols . This probe was used to image exogenous H 2 S in 4T1 cells and to develop H 2 S test strips for food products.…”
