Multiple symbol differential detection based on sphere decoding for unitary space-time modulation

Abstract: Recently, a multiple symbol differential (MSD) sphere decoding (SD) algorithm for unitary spacetime modulation over quasi-static channel has been proved to achieve the performance of maximumlikelihood (ML) detection with relatively low complexity. However, an error floor occurs if the algorithm is applied over rapid-fading channels. Based on the assumption of continuous fading, a multiple symbol differential automatic sphere decoding (MSDASD) algorithm is developed by incorporating a recursive form of an ML me… Show more

“…Jiang et al (2009Jiang et al ( , 2015 emphasized that back-arc extension as a result of the rollback of the Paleo-Pacific Plate led to the extensional magmatism in the Yanshanian period in South China [31,83]. As for the model of the Paleo-Pacific Plate's subduction-plate delamination-lithospheric extension, it emphasizes that the delamination of the Paleo-Pacific Plate during its horizontal subduction induced the upwelling of the asthenosphere and the continental lithosphere extension, which were the dominant factors in the formation of the A-type granites in the early Yanshanian period [32,39,84,85]. In addition to the Late Jurassic (ca.…”

“…For continuous-phase frequency-shift keying (CPFSK) signal (L 1), its detection performance is seriously degraded [14,15]. Several low-complexity MSD algorithms are also proposed by Fischer and Wang Xin, but their performance is far behind that of the traditional MSD algorithm [16,17].…”
