Abstract:The analysis of dissipatively coupled oscillators is a challenging problem with high stakes in actual applications, such as large scale physical systems. Many standard mathematical methods are not applicable to such systems, due to the lack of symmetry of the network induced by dissipative couplings. Here we emphasize that the synchronization of coupled oscillators can be equivalently interpreted as the problem of flow distribution over a network. Based on these equivalent interpretations, we demonstrate a clo… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
