Músculo tiroaritenoideo e som basal: uma revisão de literatura

Abstract: BSTRACTThe work of speech-language pathologists uses exercises such as the vocal fry (VF), which originates from the great contractile activity of the intrinsic laryngeal thyroarytenoid muscle (TA). The aim of this study was to review the literature related to TA and VF.A literature review of the last 20 years on the subject was performed in the databases LILACS, SciELO, PubMed, Web of Science and Google Scholar. It was found that the internal beam of the TA has slow twitch fibers, isotonic, resistant to fatig… Show more

“…Another study verifi ed increased jitter in two adult women with hourglass-shaped glottal gap (4,8) . Our results diverge from the aforementioned ones; however, there is no consensus in current literature on the indication of time of execution of the vocal fry for therapeutic application (26) . The duration of the exercise may not have been suffi cient to cause signifi cant changes in the studied voices.…”

“…There was decreased cPh for both genders, and this was the only measure with significant changes for male vocal folds (p=0.026). According to literature (2,7,8,26) , during the emission of vocal fry, vocal folds become shorter, in medial position, with firmer glottic closure due to maximal contraction of the thyroarytenoid muscle. Under these conditions, vocal fold mucosa presents more vibration amplitude, that is, it becomes looser along the free border, thus enabling more oscillatory movement.…”

“…The exercise of basal tone or vocal fry can also be indicated in some cases of muscle tension dysphonia (laryngeal isometrics, vocal fatigue, uncomfortable speech, mid-posterior triangular chink) 1,38,39 . The psalmody voice is a vocal technique that promotes muscle adjustment more efficiently and at lower muscle tension intrinsic and extrinsic of the larynx, as well as greater respiratory support, making the individual use greater airway pressure over the strong adduction between the vocal folds.…”

“…The understanding of the effect caused by vocal exercises on vocal quality has been the subject of many research studies which look into various vocal techniques, employing them in isolation (1)(2)(3)(4)(5)(6) or joining techniques in the therapeutic process (7)(8)(9)(10) ; in addition to comparing the effect of the application of different techniques (11)(12)(13) or in programs (14,15) . It is also possible to find literature containing review articles on the application of vocal techniques in various therapeutic proposals (16,17) .…”
