“…Analysis is performed on 1 cm long segments and it is recommended to be conducted for a number of 30 or more segments. An addition to the Trouvelot method is the volumetric expression of colonization defined as degree of colonization 43 , determined as a product between frequency and intensity. However, for a real degree of colonization, it is necessary to redefine the manner of assessing the colonization frequency in a similar way as to the intensity.…”

“…Even if in mycorrhized fragments we can identify large cell areas colonizide by arbuscules, when these structures are reported to the entire root cortex it will result just a small percentage of root with arbsucules. Variable values of colonization provide the image of a lax to obligatory symbiosis (Stoian et al, 2016). An interesting phenomenon is the presence in the roots of vesicles and spores of small size, indicating a continuum of the development of storage structures and of resistance.…”

“…We analysed the presence/ absence of arbuscular mycorrhiza strctures: intraand extraradicular mycelium, arbuscules, vesicles and spores. Also there were analysed mycorrhizal parameters according to method proposed by Stoian et al (2016), in order to asses the extension of each fungal structure in urban grasses roots.…”

“…For an overview of the effect of the applied inoculum, the ratios of the root and shoot biomass were calculated, also the percentage of participation of each component in the total biomass of the plant. The level and dependence of plants toward mycorrhizas was assessed using the method described by Stoian et al (2016). Identification of effective inoculation concentrations provides a much clearer picture of mycorrhizal mechanism in winter wheat based on synergistic microbial supplementation in the rhizosphere.…”
