Nanoengineering of anisotropic materials for creating the active optical cells with increased energy efficiency

Abstract: In this paper the state-of-the-art for exploiting the unique physical and chemical properties of crystalline materials and their possible applications for development of crystalline nanocomposites with the tailored anisotropy were discussed. Using a method of growing crystals from a solution the KDP and TGS nanocrystalites were grown in the mezopores of the Al2O3 matrix. To investigate the developed nanocrystalline samples the X-ray analysis was used. A form of the obtained diffractograms and our calculations … Show more

“…It is worth noting that the second-harmonic generation was already detected in KDP + AAO nanocomposite [1,2]. Clear manifestation of nanoscale confinement effect in the optical properties of hydrogen bonded PbHPO 4 crystal of KDP type was recently shown in paper [3].…”

“…Окрім цього, для забезпечення вищих характеристик розробленого поляризатора, нанопористі композити, наповнені іншими кристалічними матеріалами, можуть бути використані як матеріал для підкладки [5,18,25]. Використання нанопористих матеріалів демонструє сприятливе застосування як чутливого елемента для оптоелектроніки [3,4].…”

“…To conduct research on optical properties, several requirements regarding the geometric dimensions and surface processing cleanliness must be met. As a result, the formed structures can be used as an active medium in the optical range [3,4]. Thus, the nanocomposites deserve attention in the quasi-optical range, whereby introducing heterogeneities, for example, changes in dielectric conductivity, the formation of slowing structures is possible, which creates possibilities for the antennas and filters development.…”
