We develop a light source, a polarizing film, and a highly bismuth-substituted neodymium iron garnet film which exhibits a large Faraday rotation angle of 11 deg., prepared on a ϕ150 mm diameter glass substrate by the metal-organic decomposition method. To measure the magnetic field distribution quantitatively, the 45°polarizer method was carried out. The magnetic field distribution of a bar magnet was quantitatively measured. Furthermore, we also carried out the polarization modulation method using a white light for quantitative magneto-optical (MO) imaging.
