Abstract:This review of neoplastic diseases is an attempt to describe developments of the past two years. The reviewer has chosen to discuss only cancer in man with the specific purpose of presenting some aspects of the natural history of cancer. This study suggests that early diagnosis and curative resection of retroperitoneal sarcomas can improve long-term survival. Adjacent organs with evidence of direct invasion must be removed en bloc; others should be spared.
