The recent advances in information and communication technology (ICT) have further extended Internet of Things (IoT) from the sole "things" aspect to the omnipotent role of "intelligent connection of things". Meanwhile, the concept of internet of everything (IoE) is presented as such an omnipotent extension of IoT. However, the IoE realization meets critical challenges including the restricted network coverage and the limited resource of existing network technologies. Recently, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have attracted significant attentions attributed to their high mobility, low cost, and flexible deployment. Thus, UAVs may potentially overcome the challenges of IoE. This article presents a comprehensive survey on opportunities and challenges of UAV-enabled IoE. We first present three critical expectations of IoE: 1) scalability requiring a scalable network architecture with ubiquitous coverage, 2) intelligence requiring a global computing plane enabling intelligent things, 3) diversity requiring provisions of diverse applications. Thereafter, we review the enabling technologies to achieve these expectations and discuss four intrinsic constraints of IoE (i.e., coverage constraint, battery constraint, computing constraint, and security issues). We then present an overview of UAVs. We next discuss the opportunities brought by UAV to IoE. Additionally, we introduce a UAV-enabled IoE (Ue-IoE) solution by exploiting UAVs's mobility, in which we show that Ue-IoE can greatly enhance the scalability, intelligence and diversity of IoE. Finally, we outline the future directions in Ue-IoE.

 Abstract: Internet of Things (IoT) network is designed using a set of wireless sensor nodes connected together through a Base station. The sensor nodes capture the data about the surrounding environment and forward it to the base station (BS) along with the geotag and timestamp. For a better quality of service in a IoT network the intelligent routing becomes essential factor. The routing protocol must be energy efficient to prevent packet loss or packet drop, and early dying of certain nodes. Hence it also becomes necessary to balance the energy spending in the network by implementing optimal routing decisions derived from intelligent machine learning techniques. Many researchers have provided solutions for energy efficient routing in IoT network. However the solutions provided need to be enhanced or redesigned to address other challenges and issues in an IoT network. This paper proposes a link quality estimation mechanism when a node is considering it neighboring node as a parent node. Based upon the experiments conducted in this research by implementing the proposed routing protocol it is observed that the routing algorithm exhibits better performance with respect to the following performance metrics including average energy consumption, packet drop rate, overall network life time, and average end to end delay.

The term Internet of Things has been around us for the past couple of decades, but still no one can say that it is fully functional and operational. The reason for this is the lack of a unified architecture and the unavailability of acceptable standards and protocols for IoT components. One of the major application areas of IoT is the Smart Home environment. Smart homes are more relevant now than ever as the single person homes increases worldwide. Single person homes lack social support for the inmates, and they need to depend more on technology to improve their comfort and convenience. IoT assumes that all the 'things' in its environment are intelligent enough to perform some kind of sensing, processing and communication features. In this paper, we review the various protocols at different layers in the IoT stack that are used to connect the things to each other and to the internet and compare the popular IoT application layer protocols exist today. We consider the application layer protocols MQTT, AMQP, CoAP, XMPP and DDS in terms of their message type, transport protocol, Security etc. And also discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each one at different aspects.
