New research at Tata-Kálváriadomb, Hungary

Abstract: Tata-Kálváriadomb is one of the first flint mines known from Hungary. It was excavated in the 1960-ies and 1970-ies. The quarry is situated in the Jurassic layers of unique geological settings turned into a geological park. Recent maintenance work on the site allowed the discovery of new mining features yielding fresh osseous material suitable for C-14 dating.
