New Strategies in Diagnosing Cancer in Thyroid Nodules: Impact of Molecular Markers

Abstract: Thyroid cancer is the most common type of endocrine malignancy, with approximately 55,000 new cases diagnosed in the United States in 2012. However, thyroid nodules are much more prevalent, particularly with increased age, and only a small fraction of those are malignant.
