Nickel-catalyzed C–H/N–H annulation of aromatic amides with alkynes in the absence of a specific chelation system

Abstract: We report the development of a new system for C–H functionalizations catalyzed by nickel complexes. The findings show that aromatic amides with a simple directing group can participate in Ni-catalyzed C–H functionalization.
