Nickel Doped Zinc Oxide Thin Films for Visible Blind Ultraviolet Photodetection Applications

Abstract: The current research aims to investigate the effect of nickel doping on the structural and opto-electrical characteristics of zinc oxide thin films. Sol-gel spin coating technique has been utilized to deposit Zn1-xNixO (x=0, 0.005, 0.010, and 0.015) films on glass substrates. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis confirms the formation of crystalline zinc oxide thin films with hexagonal wurtzite structure. Williamson-Hall analysis has been performed to study the individual contribution of lattice strain and crystal… Show more

“…Fabrication of ternary NC-based chemiresistor.-In this study, pristine PPy was prepared by the typical oxidative polymerization method, 31,35 in which 0.1 M pyrrole is polymerized using 0.3 M silver nitrate AgNO3 without any dopant. For NC, a typical one-pot chemical polymerization route 25 was adopted in which 0.1 M pyrrole was oxidized by 0.3 M of AgNO3 in the presence of 1 M HCl as a dopant.…”

“…[31][32][33] Incorporation of metallic nanoparticles on the surface of Ni substrate has been shown to enhance storage capacity, charge separation, and photocatalytic activity of the resulting heterostructures. [34][35][36][37] In this study, we present the galvanic replacement of initially electrolessly deposited Ni 2 O 3 microtubes (MTs) within the pores of polycarbonate (PC) track-etched membranes (TeMs) with NiCu MTs. The application of polymeric TeMs as a support for composites synthesis has proven effective in producing highly efficient membrane catalysts for the removal of different classes of contaminants.…”

“…[1][2][3][4][5][6] These materials, including MoS 2 , WS 2 , MoSe 2 , VS 2, WSe 2 and many more, have shown great potentials for use in various applications, such as electronic devices, gas sensing devices, energy storage devices, hydrogen evolution reactions, solar cells, lubricants, etc. 2,[7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14] MoS 2 , as one of the representative members of TMDs, is a well-known two-dimensional (2D) material. Like graphene, MoS 2 consists of a layered structure in which a layer of molybdenum atoms is sandwiched between two layers of hexagonally packed sulphur atoms with strong covalent bonds (S-Mo-S).…”
