“…It should be attributed to the difficulty to break the bond of CH 4 to produce free radials, such as H atom, at temperatures lower than 1000°C. According to the research performed by Rutar et al (1996), to reduce N 2 O emissions using different reburning fuels, the reburning temperature was chosen from 1330 to 1630 K (especially from 1370 to 1630 K) for CH 4 . They revealed that the order of reductive ability was H 2 > C 2 H 4 > CH 4 and C 2 H 6 > CO with the same calorific capacity of fuel in this temperature range.…”

“…It has been demonstrated that the N 2 O emissions could be decreased by burning some reducing gases, such as H 2 , CH 4 , CO, and some other hydrocarbons (Skottene and Kjell, 2007;Dong et al, 2009;Rutar et al, 1996;Vandooren and Van Tiggelen, 1997). Skottene and Kjell (2007) indicated that H 2 was effective to reduce the N 2 O, which could be mainly attributed to the reaction of H + N 2 O <=> N 2 + OH.…”

“…A brief list of articles is provided in the reference section. The papers cover lean premixed, aircraft engine, catalytic, and fluidized-bed coal combustors [2][3][4][5][6]. These papers illustrate how a variety of combustor types can be modeled by the CRM method.…”
