Abstract:Pathological elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) is a primary index for glaucoma. In this paper, we present a biocompatible IOP sensor that operates based on the principle of inductorcapacitor (LC) resonance. The IOP sensor is composed solely of a spiral inductor that can sense deformations of corneal curvature. The inductor is fabricated by embedding gold coils into polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), a soft, biologically compatible material, via MEMS technology. The resonant frequency of the sensor is designed to v… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
