“…Mann-Whitney-Wilcoxon tests were used to compare the numbers of positive tubes according to the BC results, patient age, and clinical form 36 . Kappa coefficient concordance and 95% confidence intervals were used to quantify the degree of agreement between the results of BCs and PCR 37,38 .…”

“…Allelic richness (A) is a measure of allele number that minimizes the effect of sample size, as described by El Mousadik & Petit (1996). We grouped isolates by block and used a KruskaleWallis test (Hollander et al 2013) under the R stats package to explore potential differences between the A values for blocks as grouped by planting generation, by plantation, and by region. We also tested for a possible link between isolate allelic richness and oil palm genetic background (data available only for Sumatra) by taking groups of isolates from blocks where all the oil palms had the same genetic background (SI Table 1) and performing a KruskaleWallis test on the A values obtained from those groups.…”

“…Thus, we proceeded to post-hoc analyses. The Wilcoxon-Nemenyi-McDonaldThompson test was developed specifically for a post-hoc test that enables pairwise comparisons for non-parametric repeated measures data [36]. In Table 1, we presented the results of descriptive analyses and the pairwise comparisons between the top three and bottom three mood boards for both two commercials.…”
