Abstract: Notfall- und Massivtransfusionen stellen eine besondere Herausforderung an den Kliniker und Transfusionsmediziner dar. Durch die erheblichen Fortschritte in der Präparation und Qualität von Blutkomponenten und Plasmaderivaten innerhalb der letzten 10 Jahre haben sich die spezifischen Risiken einer Massivtransfusion deutlich verringert.
