“…As depicted in Figure e, both the graphite and GNDs include the G band at ∼1580 cm –1 and the D peak located at ∼1580 cm –1 , assigned to the sp 2 -hybridized carbon and sp 3 -hybridized mode or structural defects, , respectively. It can be seen that the low I D / I G value of ∼0.18 revealing pristine graphite is a domain by intact graphitic . In terms of the GNDs, the G and D bands are broadened and shifted to higher wavenumber, and the I D / I G value is greatly increased to 1.19.…”

“…It can be seen that the low I D /I G value of ∼0.18 revealing pristine graphite is a domain by intact graphitic. 35 In terms of the GNDs, the G and D bands are broadened and shifted to higher wavenumber, and the I D / I G value is greatly increased to 1.19. This is ascribed to the isolation of carbon double bonds because of the oxidation.…”

“…Similar behavior of lower corrosion resistance was exhibited by nitrogen‐doped CDs reinforced epoxy polymer, resulting from a higher concentration of CD leading to coating defects in the epoxy polymer. [ 22 ] Hsissou et al [ 23 ] reported the addition of phosphate to triglycidyl ethylene ether of Bisphenol A provides predominant cathodic protection. Ashraf et al [ 14 ] reported that prawn shell CD‐reinforced Bisphenol A showed uniform distribution and greater molecular compatibility.…”

“…As the epoxy 1 and 2 are similar in nature and higher concentration of PCD in the matrix led to coating defects and higher corrosion. [ 22 ] Introduction of polypyrene–graphene nano wires in epoxy polymer exhibited lower corrosion resistance with higher concentration and it was due to coating defect. [ 24 ] Epoxy 3Different concentrations of PCD‐incorporated epoxy 3 coated steel panels were subjected to LSV studies and data are shown in Figure 9.…”

“…Wang et al studied corrosion inhibition in 3.5% NaCl for the steel coated by epoxy and N-decorated carbon dots. 15 Their results revealed that the steel surface coated with N-decorated carbon dots did not form any pitting corrosion, demonstrating high corrosion resistance.…”
