Abstract:Novel magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) modified with (3-mercaptopropyl)-trimethoxysilane (MPTMS), grafted with allyl glycidyl ether and coupled with beta naphthol, were prepared for removal of anthracene in aqueous solutions. The grafted MNPs were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The modified MNPs contributed to enhancement of the adsorption capacity and were prepared by co-precipitation. The modified MNPs were characteriz… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
