Novelty of Dynamic Process in the Synthesis of Biocompatible Silica Nanotubes by Biomimetic Glycyldodecylamide as a Soft Template

Abstract: A dynamic process in the synthesis of silica nanotubes (SNTs) by utilizing glycyldodecylamide (GDA) as a soft template was thoroughly investigated. The morphological evolution from GDA to SNTs was deeply explored to elucidate the formation mechanism for optimizing the synthesis procedure. Various analytical tools, namely, XRD, FTIR, SEM, TEM, Z-potential, and N adsorption/desorption isotherms, were employed during the synthesis procedure. The interactive structure of GDA was also investigated using TEM-EDX as … Show more

“…In the mixture of IL and cholesterol, DSPC and DMG‐PEG in ethanol, the absorptive peak related to the carbonyl of DSPC and the amide of A4I18R2C18‐2 has no changes. But the peak of amide I at 1676 cm −1 was found to shift toward the lower wavenumber and generate a board peak in the formulated LNP, which suggested the formation of characteristic hydrogen bonding of amide bonds between ILs [16] . Then, the particle size and PDI was monitored at 4 °C storage conditions during two months, and the LNP remained no obvious size change with the PDI below 0.2 over time (Figure 2i).…”

[16] Angewandte Chemie Then, the particle size and PDI was monitored at 4 °C storage conditions during two months, and the LNP remained no obvious size change with the PDI below 0.2 over time (Figure 2i). This indicates that the bis-amide bonds-containing ILs generated from the Ugi-4CR exhibit the inherent advantage to improve the particle stability of LNPs.…”

“…Besides, the nanotubes destruction is possible during the separation step from the matrix template so unfortunately, it has poor reproducibility. In the soft template procedure surfactants used as templates ( Bernal et al, 2012 ; Choi et al, 2017 ). Firstly, the surfactant should be mixed with water, titanium alkoxide, and other substances, then the polymerization takes place under certain conditions.…”

“…The exposure distance constitutes the relaxation time of amphiphilic polymer and its related quantity which absorbed to solvents interlayer or entered into water. Pluronic as an amphiphilic polymer can also agglomerate, reassemble and form a myelin layer when solved in non‐aqueous solvents (especially in chloroform) and contacted with water . Resembling mucilage, the Pluronic myelin is visible by the naked eye and remains stable at room temperature.…”
