Nuevas experiencias en gobernanza universitaria

Abstract

Governance is the art or governing way and refers to the system configured from the structures, processes, strategies, policies and plans that support long-range decisions of organizations and the daily actions of top management teams. Thus, governance in universities, it is expressed through the way in which the higher education entity is directed, managed and organized, in the perspective of responding to the requirements of the environment, considering, in turn, the resources and institutional capacities and having as a goal the achievement of the mission and strategic purposes. In these reflections, a strategic perspective of governance is offered in this discussion, from experience, taking into account its formal and informal aspects.
