Abstract:The dispersion characteristics and slow-wave instabilities of a sinusoidally corrugated waveguide with coaxial slow-wave structure (SWS) are analyzed. In SWS, a central cylindrical conductor is surrounded by an outer cylindrical conductor. Sinusoidal corrugation is formed on either conductor or both conductors. The corrugation parameters are those used for an X-band SWS. The relative phase between the sinusoidal corrugations on the inner and outer conductors affects the dispersion characteristics. Instabilitie… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
