Nurses' career commitment and job performance: differences between intensive care units and wards

Abstract: Few studies explore the concepts of nurses' career commitment and job performance. This study aimed to address this by using a survey method. A convenient sample of 640 registered nurses was obtained, with a response rate of 58.1%. All nurses in the sample 'agreed' to keep committed to their careers and they felt that they were performing 'well' their jobs.
