Nutzungsmöglichkeiten und Grenzen von Labor‐Mikroökosystemen

Abstract

The world‐wide increase of production and application of chemicals and the question, connected with it, of protection of the environment in case of damages, disposal of wastes and sewages without any harm as well as of the minimization of the risk make necessary to find out ecochemical and ecotoxicological datas which allow a corresponding evaluation of the environment behaviour. Possibilities are offered by terrestrial and aquatic model micro‐ecosystems which render possible to simulate chemical, physical, and biological processes of the natural environment with satisfactory reproducibility. A review is given on possibilities and limits.
