Goat population in the Sudan is estimated to be around 40 million heads. Nubian goats constitute about 60% of this goat population. They played an important economical role in the livelihood of a large sector of the population in the rural areas. Nubian goats are well reputed as one of the prominent breeds of dairy goats in the tropics (Devendra & McLeroy, 1982;Hassan & El-Derani, 1990;Sulieman & El Shafei, 1984). Nubian goats are the progenitors of the world famous Anglo-Nubian breed (Aboul-Naga et al., 2012;Williamson & Payne, 1978). Goats are used as a representative of large animals for certain experimental purposes like studies on reproduction as the reproductive tracts of the male goat, ram and bull are essentially similar (Goyal, 1985). Among these three species, male goats receive preference because, unlike rams, and bulls, are inexpensive and easier to handle for surgical manoeuvres
