Some sources suggested that hamartomatous lesions tend to present in young age or birth (20), and while this may be true for the majority of cases, hamartoma that presents later in life has also been described, including a case at age 91 (21–24). Therefore, it is clear that the patient’s age by itself is not a factor that would restrict the use of the term hamartoma if the microscopic requirements are met.…”
