This study aimed to determine whether a significant difference existed between gender and grades, and reading habit and general self-efficacy of preservice Turkish teachers. This study was conducted as a mixed methods research. Qualitative and quantitative data were used in the study, and a holistic approach was implemented. The sample of this study included 184 preservice teachers studying at the first, second, third, and fourth grades in Kilis 7 Aralik University. The "Attitude Related to Reading Habit Scale," and the "General Self-Efficacy Scale," were used in this study. An interview form was also developed to determine the correlation between the reading habit and general self-efficacy. The data were analyzed using SPSS 17.0 package software. A content analysis was used for the qualitative data. this study, which was conducted to determine the correlation between the reading habits of pre-service Turkish teachers, a significant difference in reading habits was found in relation to gender. However, no significant difference was found in relation to grade. Self-efficacy perceptions of preservice Turkish teachers no significant difference was found. The reading habit and general self-efficacy perceptions of the participants, and a positive correlation was found. The opinions of the participants indicated that the reading habit their self-efficacy developed in many aspects and added important values to their characteristics.
