“…The reaction products were pushed out of the capillary and off-line analysed by UHPLC TOF-MS. The real-time combination of EMMA with MS was first described by Van Schepdael et al who used this approach for an on-line screening of matrix metalloproteinase inhibitors by CE coupled to IT-MS [19]. Since the TDLFP methodology represents more versatile tool then EMMA, its possible combination with MS detection was conscientiously optimised in this study for such important enzymatic system such as CYPs.…”

“…The RSD of the repeatability of peak areas published by Wang et al who performed the in-capillary reaction of matrix metalloproteinase using the EMMA methodology combined with MS detection were better  3.2 % for classic and 4.8 % for pressure-mediated EMMA [19]. But it is necessary to point out that the CYP represents more complicated enzymatic system in contrast with the matrix metalloproteinase.…”

“… studied tyrosinase by using pressure mediated microanalysis (PMMA). PMMA is also an on‐line technique which mediates the enzyme reaction by pressure; both the mixing and separation proceed without voltage application by using only pressure. As there is no need for a resolving BGE solution, this technique is fast, convenient and simple.…”

“…CE‐ESI‐MS using 20 mM ammonium acetate, pH 6.8, as BGE and water/MeOH, 1:1 v/v containing 0.5% formic acid as sheath liquid at a flow rate 4 μL/min has been applied to on‐line screening of matrix metalloproteinase inhibitors . The MS detection was operated in the positive ion mode with LOD 10 nM for the matrix metalloproteinase reaction peptide product (Mca‐Pro‐Leu‐Gly where Mca stands for (7‐methoxycoumarin‐4‐yl)acetyl) and provided 60‐fold enhancement of sensitivity by using selected reaction monitoring detection compared with full‐scan mode.…”
