One-pot synthesis of Ag-modified SrTiO3: synergistic effect of decoration and doping for highly efficient photocatalytic NOx degradation under LED

“…In a recent study, a one-pot synthesis of photocatalyst SrTiO 3 , doubly modified with silver nanoparticles, was carried out to yield highly stable photocatalysts with BET surface areas as high as 16 m 2 g −1 , pore size of 19 nm, and a reduction in the energy band from 3.2 eV in undoped catalysts to 2.8 eV in the modified ones. The double modifications carried out were the following: doping the photocatalysts with silver nanoparticles and depositing the nanoparticles on the catalyst surface viawet impregnation method [73].
