In the digital era, digital innovation (DI) has become the first choice for many enterprises to create sustainable competitive advantage (SCA). How to effectively realize DI has become the focus of enterprises. Since ambidextrous learning (AL) provides two paths of knowledge acquisition, it can provide sufficient knowledge for corporate DI. However, this is not an easy task for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) given the dilemma of relatively scarce resources. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate whether AL can be a driving force for SMEs to build a SCA in the digital era. Meanwhile, this study intends to analyze the roles of DI and digital culture (DC) in the above relationship. Research data were obtained from leaders of 289 knowledge‐intensive SMEs in Nanjing, China. Through theoretical analysis and empirical testing, this study has obtained some findings. First, AL can be more effective in enhancing SMEs' SCA than exploratory or exploitative learning. Second, DI mediates the relationship between AL and SCA. Finally, DC can reinforce the mediating role of DI between AL and SCA. These findings reveal the influence mechanism between AL and SMEs' SCA in the digital era. In addition, this study helps us better understand how DI and DC operate within the above mechanism. Meanwhile, this study provides decision support for SMEs to establish SCAs in the digital era.

Since the Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim put forward the idea of independent learning, there has been much talk about it in the world of education including the campus idea for independent learning. This concept is an attempt to deal with the changing times, so how is the concept of an independent learning campus that was coined by the Minister of Education and Culture, Mr. Nadiem Makarim, the purpose of the researcher here is to explain how the concept and application of MBKM are in Madrasah Aliyah and what is the problem in Madrasah The current Aliyah Negeri requires a change in the concept of the Madrasah Aliyah Negeri for the better. This article uses a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The results of the study show that the implementation of the Sidoarjo State Madrasah Aliyah towards the independent learning policy about 4 concepts that PAI teachers at the State Aliyah Madrasah feel the advantages of the Free Learning concept where learning can proceed as intended, while their students can also feel the advantages of the Merdeka concept. Learning is that it is easier to understand the material conveyed by the teacher as well as students can be more expressive in the classroom so that the learning process is carried out more fun. Teachers also always hold weekly deliberations to find out the progress of the 4 Free Learning concepts.

Towards a Knowledge Base to Support the Management of the Design Process of Formulated Products

The design of new consumer chemical products is a complex task at different levels. In addition to the technical challenges of the formulation, design teams should also consider the requirements of the organization where the design is performed. The objective of this article is to present a knowledge base to support decision-making for the design of formulated products, considering the organizational dimension. For this, data were collected during ten semi-structured in-depth interviews with industrial experts who are also decisional actors in the design process. From the collected data, design recommendations were identified and analyzed. These recommendations are statements which can be used by organizations to evaluate, understand, improve, or create their own design methodologies considering their context and resources. Subsequently, the extracted recommendations were analyzed according to three types of criteria: the stages of the design process, the involved actors, and the organizational context. As a result, a knowledge base containing systematically organized recommendations that have led to the development of successful products is presented. Finally, the multiple uses of the knowledge base are shown with theoretical examples and the knowledge base is applied to analyze the design process of a real organization: in a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) in the cosmetic sector.
