Introduction: Dentistry is considered one of the hectic and stressful professions. Work-related stress has been linked to the development of mental health difficulties among dentists, including depression and a higher risk of burnout. Beginning in dental school and postgraduate training, dental professionals face a variety of stressors that might persist or worsen throughout their careers. Dealing with tough and demanding patients, running behind schedule and time demands are the most commonly mentioned stressors, followed by staff concerns and pressures from third parties.Materials and Methods: In May 2020, a cross-sectional survey was undertaken throughout dentistry colleges in southern India. It was decided to create a questionnaire with 27 questions. Through electronic media, this questionnaire is distributed to prosthodontic postgraduate students, prosthodontists, interns, general practitioners, and postgraduates from other departments. Results : In this survey, the response rate of the participants was satisfactory. Regarding the diagnosis of complete dentures, the majority of the participants had high knowledge (65%), attitude (78.30%), and practice (73.72%). A total of 155 dentists answered to the survey, which was sent out to 200 dentists. It yields a 95 percent response rate. Conclusion: Within the limitations of the investigation, this cross-sectional descriptive study found that prosthodontists had extensive knowledge and awareness of treatment planning and diagnosis of complete dentures under time constraints, but ordinary dentists have insufficient understanding.
