Functional uses of calcium sulphate also include, Yeast food, dough conditioner, firming agent, sequestrant, anhydrous Chemical formula CaSO4 dihydrate: CaSO4•2H2O calcium sulphate is permitted as a source of calcium in food supplements, in foods in general and in foods for special nutritional purposes , the majority of sulphate intake from the diet comes from protein-derived methionine and cysteine (40).…”
