Opinions of members of travel agencies about the prevention actions to STD/AIDS to the tourists

Abstract

The study 30 close to subject of travel agencies of Ribeirão Preto – SP, with the objective of verifying the opinion of the prevention actions to DSTs / HIV e SIDA to the tourists, where 82.0% were in the 20-39 year-old age group, 41.1% had of 1-5 years of service and 87.4% possessed of the third incomplete degree to the complete. He stands up out the 88.6% that mentioned DSTs as being acquired for sexual act, being the sida, gonorrhea and syphilis the more mentioned. As prevention measure was mentioned the preservative use by 65.8%, while 94.8% didin´t receive any type of information on DSTs in areas of tourism and nor they develop this prevention type with the tourists.
