Optical properties of TiO 2 nanorod/PMMA bilayered film and the application for anti‐reflection

Abstract: TiO 2 /Poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) bilayered films have been prepared by spin coating technique on the glass substrate. The nanorod-structured TiO 2 prepared by a coprecipitation method was used. The structure and morphology were tested by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy, and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The optical properties and the anti-reflection (AR) coating performance were evaluated by UV-Vis spectrometer. The XRD pattern has shown that the TiO 2 particles have the nanorods … Show more

“…Polymer materials in the form of poly(vinyl alcohol) (Aldrich), and ethylcellulose (Aldrich), as well as titanium dioxide nanoparticles (synthesized) were used as a polymer-TiO2 solution for electrospinning. Nanoparticles of titanium dioxide were synthesized using TiCl3 as a precursor with the co-precipitation method and NH4Cl solution (J.T Baker) was used as a pH regulator of the solution, as described in our previous work [6]. The pH of the solution was set at pH 9 to get the anatase phase.…”

“…With the device, not only the fiber is formed, but also can to reduces the size of the fiber diameter. Park et al [6] have succeeded in forming fibers with the electrospinning technique for polymer ethyl cellulose using tetrahydrofuran (THF), and dimethylacetamide (DMAc) solvents. The morphological changes of electrospun fibers with various solvents were carried out to determine the effect of solvents on the surface of nanofiber ethyl cellulose [6].…”
