Abstract:The complexity of modern systems requires a holistic approach to modeling and simulation during the design phases. This often includes an integrated model of the overall system (architecture, function, and environment) as well as a link-up of computer-aided design tools, because there are many occasions in which there are aspects of the system that cannot be described in one tool.
