Organic–Inorganic Hybrid Zinc Phosphate with 28‐Ring Channels

Abstract: An organic-inorganic hybrid zinc phosphate with 28-ring channels was synthesized by use of an organic ligand instead of organic amine template under a hydro(solvo)thermal condition. This crystalline zinc phosphate contains large channels constructed from 28 zinc and phosphate tetrahedral units. The walls of the channels consist of two types of zincophosphate chains, in which the Zn atoms are coordinated by 2,4,5-tri(4-pyridyl)-imidazole ligands as pendent groups. This compound exhibits yellow emission and inte… Show more

“…144 According to Wang et al, inorganic frameworks have various geometries, exible coordination behaviors and assorted connectivity's which inhibit the presence of large structural pores and channels. [145][146][147] On the other hand, metal organic frameworks possess rich structural chemistry and integrity as well as potential applications in catalysis, ionexchange, and gas storage. [145][146][147] A report on the fabrication of a new organic-inorganic hybrid zinc phosphate with 28 ring channels was published for the use of heavy metal removal from water.…”

“…[1][2][3][4][5][6] To date, the employment of different structuredirecting or auxiliary N-donor ligands, has been recognized as an efficient strategy to fabricate new inorganic-organic hybrid materials with novel structures. [7][8][9][10][11][12][13] Among the N-donor ligands, the bis(imidazole) ligand can adopt subtly different conformations to meet the different geometrical requirements of complexes in the synthesis process (such as metal ions, molar ratios, pH value, temperature and time, etc.) due to its exibility.…”
