Purpose–Job stress and presenteeism are stressors that have become chronic problems in the current business world. The primary objective of this study is to assess the levels of job stress and presenteeism among employees in five-star hotels, and to examine the potential interaction between these two factors.Design/Methodology/Approach–The survey method, classified as a descriptive model type, was chosen for the research objectives. The quantitative approach was implemented. The research was conducted utilizing the survey method and measurement instruments in accordance with this premise. The employee of five-star hotels in Istanbul that possess "Tourism Operation Certificate" comprise the research sample. 392 hotel employees participated in the research.Results–Based on the data derived from this research, it can be concluded that there is a substantial positive correlation between job stress levels experienced by hotel employees and their inclination to engage in presenteeism behavior. It can be inferred that employees who are under increased levels of job-related stress will demonstrate a higher likelihood of presenteeism, as supported by this finding. For the purpose of the research, frequency analysis, factor analysis, normality tests, correlation, and regression analyses were used.Discussion–It can be stated that businesses that do not want to face various costs for the orientation and training of new personnel should take into account situations such as job stress and presenteeism for the continuity of the business. In addition, relevant public institutions have great responsibilities to determine and supervise whether overtime is applied to personnel, whether wages are paid regularly and in accordance with the rules, whether the working environment is appropriate, and whether social rights are provided. Non-governmental organizations also have important duties in this regard

Purpose –A sudden development can quickly have an impact on the tourism sector because of its fragile structure. There are likely to be employment concerns in such an industry. In this study, it is aimed to determine the effect of intolerance of uncertainty on career anxiety and career change intention, as well as the direction and strength of this effect in accommodation business employees.Design/Methodology/Approach –The questionnaire technique, one of the quantitative research methodologies, was used in the research. The questionnaire form was administered to 402 Antalya-based employees of accommodation businesses. On the obtained data, confirmatorys factor analysis, correlation analysis, and path analysis were performed.Results –As a result of the statistical data obtained, the relations between the variables were determined, and all four research hypotheses developed in order to test the research model created based on these relations were accepted. According to the results, prospective anxiety (PA), which is a sub-dimension of intolerance of uncertainty (IU), positively affects career anxiety, as does inhibitory anxiety (IA), which is also a sub-dimension of intolerance of uncertainty. In addition, the sub-dimensions (PA) and (IA) of intolerance touncertainty negatively affect career change intention.Discussion –It can be said that employees' intolerance to uncertainty, career anxiety, and career change intentions are generally at a moderate level. It has been revealed that employees with a high level of intolerance to uncertainty do not turn to career changes dueto their fear of uncertainty as well as their increased career anxiety. This result may indicate the existence of unhappy employees in the sector.

ÖzBu çalışmada, iş arkadaşlarından ve yönetimden duyulan tatminin normatif bağlılığa etkisinde kişilik özelliklerinden uyumlu kişilik özelliğinin aracılık etkisi araştırılmıştır. 228 özel hastane sağlık çalışanlarından anket yöntemi kullanılarak toplanan verinin nicel analizi sonucunda, iş arkadaşlarından tatmin ile normatif bağlılık arasında pozitif yönde ve anlamlı; yönetimden duyulan tatmin ile normatif bağlılık arasında pozitif yönde ve anlamlı; iş arkadaşlarından tatmin ile uyumlu kişilik özelliği arasında pozitif yönde ve anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Kişilik özelliklerinden uyumluluk ile normatif bağlılık arasında ve yönetimden duyulan tatmin ile kişilik özelliklerinden uyumluluk arasında pozitif yönde ve anlamlı bir ilişki bulunamamıştır. Çalışmada beklenilenin aksine uyumlu kişilik özelliğinin, iş arkadaşlarından tatmin ve yönetimden duyulan tatminin normatif bağlılığa etkisinde aracı rolü olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Kurallara uyan, yardımsever ve insancıl olan bu kişilerin örgüte çok şey kazandıracağı muhakkaktır. Bu kişilerin performansının değerlendirilmesinde; diğer insanlara yardımcı olma, diğerlerinin gereksinimine öncelik verme gibi özellikleri dikkate alınmalı, bu özelliklerinden dolayı takdir edilmeli, katkıları görülmeli, özellikle maddi anlamda eşit imkânlar sağlanmalıdır. AbstractIn this study, the mediating role of agreeableness personality trait on the effect of relationship with coworkers and quality of supervision on normative commitment was investigated. The quantitative analysis of the data collected by survey method from 228 participants of private hospital workers showed that relationship with co-workers and normative commitment, quality of supervision and normative commitment, relationship with co-workers and agreeableness personality trait have a positive and significant relation. In contrast to the expectations, it was determined that agreeableness personality trait does not play an important role on the effect of relationship with co-workers and quality of supervision on normative commitment. It is certain that these people who follow the rules, helpful and humane, will contribute a lot to the organization. In assessing the performance of these people, characteristics such as assisting other people and giving priority to the needs of others should be considered. They should be appreciated for their characteristics; their contributions should be seen, and equal opportunities should be provided especially in financial terms.
