“…Low-dose CysA is increasingly being used as it is not only effective but also associated with a better side-effect profile as compared to higher doses. [2][3][4] Young patients are less likely to have renal side effects as compared to the older age-group.1 Intermittent short courses are also associated with lesser side effects as compared to continuous dosing.5 Our patient experienced gastrointestinal side effects at 3 mg/kg/day and tolerated 1.5 mg/kg/day dose with significant improvement of recalcitrant facial lesions which was maintained even after stopping the therapy.…”
