“…For tumours of other parts of the gastrointestinal tract, neither autotransplantation reports nor epidemiologic data were available. Nevertheless, ovarian involvement has been indicated in case reports describing patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (Oortman and Elliott, 1983;Young et al, 1992a, b;de Groot et al, 2000;Stippel et al, 2005;Montero et al, 2007;Lee et al, 2011;Benito et al, 2012), hepatoblastoma (Green and Silva, 1989) and bile duct or gallbladder carcinomas (Lashgari et al, 1992;Petru et al, 1992;Chang et al, 1997;Ayhan et al, 2001;Low et al, 2003;Miyagui et al, 2003;Garcia et al, 2004;Jain et al, 2006;Khunamornpong et al, 2007Khunamornpong et al, , 2008Lee et al, 2009;Kumar et al, 2010;Singh et al, 2010;Pusiol et al, 2011). Tumours of the small bowel and pancreatic tumours were also shown to have the capacity to metastasize to the ovaries (Roley et al, 1990;Tsuruchi et al, 1995;Loke et al, 1997;Dunsmore and Lovell, 1998;Wysocki et al, 2001;Yanai et al, 2003;Ayhan et al, 2005;Husain et al, 2006;Maekawa et al, 2010).…”

“…There are several case reports in the literature of mucinous ovarian neoplasms metastatic from the pancreaticobiliary tract that presented clinically as primary ovarian neoplasms (Seidman et al, 2003; Petru et al, 1992; Alvarado-Cabrero et al, 2013; Corr et al, 2013; Di Marco et al, 2012; Garcia et al, 2004; Goldstein et al, 2001; Guerriero et al, 2012; Hibner and Greenspan, 2004; Jain et al, 2006; Jarvi et al, 2006; Ji et al, 2002; Khangura et al, 2013; Khunamornpong et al, 2008; Khunamornpong et al, 2007; Khunamornpong et al, 2006; Kim et al, 1999; Kiyokawa et al, 2006; Kumar et al, 2010; Kurt et al, 2016; Lashgari et al, 1992; Lee and Young, 2003; Lee et al, 2015; Lyra et al, 2015; McCluggage and Young, 2008; Meriden et al, 2011; Okamoto et al, 2011; Sun et al, 2012; Taranto et al, 2006; Testa et al, 2007; Vang et al, 2006a; Vang et al, 2006b; Wang and El-Bahrawy, 2014; Yemelyanova et al, 2008; Young and Hart, 1989; Young and Scully, 1990; Park and Kim, 2018). Many of these patients did not present with the typical symptoms of jaundice and back pain, but instead with vague symptoms often associated with ovarian malignancy (abdominal pain, abdominal-pelvic mass).…”

“…Cholangiocarcinoma is often discovered at advanced stage with poor long-term survival (9). Typically patients present with symptoms of jaundice, pruritis, and cholangitis; however, reports describe rare incidents of cholangiocarcinomas presenting initially as ovarian tumors (3)(4)(5)(6)(7)(8). In these reports, the majority of cases demonstrated bilateral ovarian involvement with masses 11.8 cm in mean diameter.…”

“…Cholangiocarcinomas are a rare source of ovarian metastases described in the literature typically only in case reports. Although most reports describe initial presentations similar to that of primary ovarian neoplasms (3)(4)(5)(6), the current case series details 5 cases of known cholangiocarcinoma recurrent in the ovary after completion of initial multimodality therapy involving surgical resection of the primary tumor followed by adjuvant chemotherapy.…”
