Abstract:A summary of recent developments in x-ray spectroscopy for the application in laser produced plasma experiments is given. They are based on an advanced theoretical analysis of the radiation emission originating from autoionizing states and the realization of high resolution x-ray spectromicroscopy methods. Particular emphasize is given on nonMaxwellian particle analysis, strongly coupled plasmas and interpenetrating plasma sheaths of laser produced and compressing (pinching) plasmas.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
