“…We selected 14 polymorphic microsatellite loci that show Mendelian heredity in Norwegian red deer (Haanes et al 2005). These were CSSM03 (Moore et al 1994), OarCP26 (Ede et al 1995), RT5 (Wilson et al 1997), SRCRSP10 (Bhebhe et al 1994), NVHRT73 and NVHRT48 (Røed andMidthjell 1998), McM58 (Hulme et al 1994), OarFCB193 and OarFCB304 (Buchanan and Crawford 1993), BM5004, BM888, BMC1009, BM4208 and BM4107 (Bishop et al 1994).
