As a recently emerging group of 2D materials, MXene has attracted extensive attention in the energy storage field in recent years owing to their outstanding features. However, the notorious issues of inevitable oxidation stability and surface‐to‐surface self‐restacking for MXene significantly prevent its further wide‐ranging application. Herein, the 3D macroporous oxidation‐resistant Ti3C2Tx MXene/graphene/carbon nanotube (MRC) hybrid hydrogels are prepared by a simple gelation method assisted by l‐cysteine as crosslinker and l‐ascorbic acid (VC) as reductant. Benefitting from the effectively alleviated restacking, excellent electrical conductivity, and the 3D inter‐crosslinked macroporous architecture, as a supercapacitor electrode, the obtained MRC aerogel exhibits a superior specific capacitance of 349 F g−1, unparalleled rate capability (52.0% at 3000 mV s−1) and amazing cyclic stability (retention of 97.1% after 100 000 cycles). Moreover, the 3D MRC‐30 aerogel exhibits an impressive oxidation‐resistant performance with just a 9.3% increase in electrical resistance after storing in ambient condition for 60 days, effectively alleviating the oxidation problem of MXene. This work demonstrates a new method for construction of 3D oxidation‐resistant MXene hydrogel, shedding new light on the promising applications of MXene materials, especially in high humidity and oxygen environment.

Due to their capability of reversibly accepting multi lithium ions, polyoxometalates (POMs) have been widely regarded as promising candidates for electrochemical lithium storage. Nevertheless, the insulating nature of POMs hinders fast migration kinetics of lithium within the bulk of these materials. Herein, we propose the introduction of a local electric field surrounding the POM nanoparticles consisting of Mn and V where the concomitant Coulomb forces can accelerate the migration of lithium ions. After rationally hybridizing POMs with MXene nanosheets, the imbalanced charge distribution emerging at their interface produces the local electric field, thereby leading to a 250-fold increase of lithium diffusion coefficient. In this regard, a capacitive contribution as high as 81.7% at 1.0 mV s −1 is observed. Moreover, the POM nanoparticles could densely assemble on the surface of MXene nanosheets, offering highly packed electrodes and thus high volumetric capacities. Due to the improved lithiumion transfer kinetics, the POMs/MXenes composites are paired with activated carbon to produce lithium-ion capacitors which could offer a high energy density of 195.5 W h kg −1 and a large power capability of 3800 W kg −1 . The findings in this work could build a clear relationship between materials with different conductivities for designing electrode materials.

Exploring nanostructured transition-metal sulfide anode materials with excellent electrical conductivity is the key point for high-performance alkali metal ion storage devices. Herein, we propose a powerful bottom-up strategy for the construction of a series of sandwich-structured materials by a rapid interfacial self-assembly approach. Oleylamine could act as a functional reagent to guarantee that the nanomaterials self-assemble with MXene. Benefiting from the small size of Co-NiS nanorods, excellent conductivity of MXene, and sandwiched structure of the composite, the Co-NiS/MXene composite could deliver a high discharge capacity of 911 mAh g–1 at 0.1 A g–1 for lithium-ion storage. After 200 cycles at 0.1 A g–1, a high specific capacity of 1120 mAh g–1 could be still remaining, indicating excellent cycling stability. For sodium-ion storage, the composite exhibits high specific capacity of 541 mAh g–1 at 0.1 A g–1 and excellent rate capability (263 mAh g–1 at 5 A g–1). This work offers a straightforward strategy to design and construct MXene-based anode nanomaterials with sandwiched structure for high-performance alkali metal ion storage and even in other fields.
