Abstract: The purpose of the study was to examine the effectiveness of problem solving skill on academic achievement of students.The study population consisted of all male students in first year of high school. Sample size was 40 persons and it was determined by a multistage random sampling method. Academic achievement test and problem solving skill test were used in order to measure variables of the research during the eight sessions (2 hours) for a month.
