Palaeocurrents in Mesopotamian geosyncline

Abstract: ZusammenfassungTerrigene sandige Ablagerungen der mesopotamisdlen Geosynklinale wurden untersueht, um die Pal~iostrSmungen in den Sedimentationsbeeken zu rekonstruieren. Es wurden direkte (Untersuehung der Str6mungssehiehtung) und indirekte Methoden (Schwermineral-und GerSllanalysen) angewendet.Alle Formationen, welche am siidwestliehen Rand der Geosynklinale liegen, zeigen Pal~iostr6mungsrichtungen von Siidwesten naeh Nordosten.
