“…En el concepto de Mayer y Salovey (1997) la teoría de IE considera a ésta como una inteligencia genuina, que facilita el procesamiento y el uso adaptativo de las emociones, permitiendo utilizarlas a favor de un razonamiento más efectivo; en este estudio el concepto que se ajusta más es el descrito por Salovey y Mayer (1990) que definen la IE como la capacidad de percibir, entender, administrar y regular las emociones tanto propias como las de los demás. Ahora bien, al contexto de esta crisis sanitaria mundial se suma la crisis económica de los países originada por esta pandemia lo cual obviamente tiene repercusiones profundas en el estado emocional y psicológico de los individuos, estas repercusiones requieren ser medidas y evaluadas a un nivel multisectorial en los países dentro de una política preventiva de la salud mental, recurriendo a la valiosa atención primaria en donde el cuidado psicológico de la población como lo sugieren Buitrago et al(2020),sea basado en la existencia de investigaciones psicológicas y de las emociones. De la misma forma Jakovljevic et al (2020) manifiestan que para abordar en forma exitosa esta pandemia se tiene que aprender más sobre el aspecto psicológico de COVID-19 desde la perspectiva de la salud mental pública y global.…”
